| What this IGATE is doing?
Setup: A VHF Transceiver is connected to PC
using special interface containing PC-RIG Isolation and Modem which is
then controlled by an APRS Program running on PC. Any APRS data
"Heard" by transceiver is passed to PC. Program on PC accepts
valid aprs data and forward it to APRServ for viewing globally.
Purpose: IGATE provides a way to Radio
amateurs to reach global data system, especially who do not have
internet connection or APRS Software Running on their PC 24X7. They can
transmit from their small Walkie-Talkie & forward data containing
their movement, weather data etc without any cost. (However, all expenses
goes to IGATE owner!!)
